When someone talks about the boys of summer what comes to mind? For most people it is either Baseball or for those of you who grew up in the 80′s the hit song The Boys of Summer by Don Henley. But I think about these beautiful little boys below. We have 2 boys out of our current Meeka/Lukie litter available for adoption. Please contact us if you would like more information.

In the labradoodle world retirement may mean something different than what we dream of our retirement to be when we finally get to retire. I dream of a day that I get to sleep in without running late, taking a vacation without questioning if it works around anyone elses schedule and being able to go anywhere during the week without taking the time off. As a labradoodle retirement means that your dog has finished their breeding career. Over the last year we have retired our Brenna, and recently our Daisy. This is also Meeka’s last litter and she will be formally retired over the next couple months. We have been very lucky to find great homes for our retired girls so we will have room to continue breeding this wonderful breed. But doing this means that you will miss something that you have grown close too. Brenna, Daisy & Meeka will always be a big part of our breeding program and they will never be forgotten.

Thank you everyone for your interest in Moose he has found a new home and has a new Labradoodle brother.
For personal reasons Moose’s family needs to find a new home for him. He is a really sweet fully trained adult Australian Labradoodle. He makes quick friends with both people and other dogs.
Please contact Rick or Jan at 208-683-0717 or If you can’t get ahold of them please email us info@nwaussiedoodles.com
Trimming your dogs claws (toenails) | Northwest Australian Labradoodles

Trimming your dogs claws may be a little intimidiating, but it is necessary. Most dogs don’t like to get their claws trimmed. If you start at a early age then it will become second nature to your dog.
There are two types of clippers, guillotine style & scissor style. Some say that the guillotine style is easier to use, but I prefer to use the scissor style which you can find at www.thriftypetsupply.com
For step by step instructions visit the WSU College of Veterinay Medicine website http://www.vetmed.wsu.edu/ClientED/dog_claws.aspx
Place your dog on a table, have them lay down
